Form Templates (Check Lists) allow you to reuse specific Form Items for easy use in work orders. Most commonly, these are used for inspections where you have a list of subtasks or checklist items that you would like to include as part of a work order.
Form template types have almost no inherent semantic meaning, but aid solely as a means of organization for the designer/user. One notable exception: article type forms are the only ones listed in the Override form dropdown on the Write panel.
Throughout this series I will cover CDASH 1.1 best practice recommendations for specific domains, provide examples from my own experience, and discuss common questions that arise during eCRF development. The intent of these articles is to provide concrete examples for those learning and implementing CDASH eCRFs, and a forum for others to share their own experiences and best practice recommendations.
